This lens should be great for all-sky meteor shower pics. Play around with the iso and shutter speed.

Aperture and focusing are smooth and responsive. All it will require is time and patience to see what manual mode offers.

Cons

Negative aspects. Fisheye mapping is not ideal for correction (leaning towards orthographic though i have seen worse). Cannot change the saturation.
