Pros

As a textbook, it's hard to put down. It's the first textbook i've seen on the subject. Not a small book and somewhat weighty but it is packed with useful information. It covers the nuts and bolts like few others do.

Very much worth every penny if not priceless. Had to have it. Hoffman is always for real.

It completes any collection on medicinal herb literature. Has a wonderful section on the organic chemistry which i find incredibly useful.

Cons

Stephen buhner's herbal antiviral protocol appears not too user friendly. When you try searching, it asks you which location you're looking for, an arbitrary number that means nothing at all.
