Pros
Vise locks up your barrel so you can clamp it and remove muzzle devices, breech plugs, actions etc. Installed barrel in vise and easily removed a muzzle device. Worked great for savage sporter and varmint contour barrels.
Cons
This one is kind of a light duty vise at best. The top plate flexes quite a bit and cuts the leather. The leather cowhides are ruined as well.

Quality
It left no markings on barrel afterwards and i was very happy with the result
The vice bolts came off quickly and easily so i was quite pleased by the result
I had a new rifle with the manufacturers brake torqued down really hard and this thing made it easy to get it off
Price
I was skeptical because of the reasonable price
Competitiveness
This is such a wellmade barrel vise that i would highly recommend it to everyone that is looking for a wellmade american product
So it would be a 18 or 19mm socket i think

Tried other options including options that use a separate vise that simply do not exert enough clamping force even with a pipe wrench

The 4 muzzle break that came on the rifle was very hard to get off and i could apply so much pressure to the barrel trying to get the brake off that the barrel would rotate in the vice
