Highlights
Quality
I was very pleased with the quality of the product and the image
Ive been extremely satisfied with the views i have gotten of the moon
Am happy with the choice of telescope i bought
The more glass you add between your eye and the object the worse the quality of the image is
Price
If you have amazon prime youll easily beat the price youd get from meade or any other supplier after you figure their shipping cost
Given the cost i am happy with this little 130mm scope
Packaging/appearance
Now there is one thing im not crazy about the play in the focuser
Competitiveness
Honestly a 50x magnification is pretty ridiculous for this size of scope
I tried them and they werent horrible considering the cost of the telescope

The representative at meade explained to me that the reason i was seeing the spider vanes and the secondary mirror was because of my pupil size in relation to the lens opening diameter

Using higher powered lens did not show the spider vanes and the secondary mirror

I am still not sure what might be causing it but on using the scope with my camera i did get some clear shots

The quality of the scope is on par for meade when considering the price you are paying

There is no solar filter however if you want to use this for solar observations you will want a solar cap filter that fits over the end of the telescope
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Do not use a solar filter that threads onto the eyepiece
