Pros

Me talk pretty is a wonderfully absurd book. I never say this, because humor and wit is. Wit in this book, it’s not the fault of the author's. This isn't my genre but i'm so glad i took a chance on him.

Personal stories are refreshing and heartfelt. Some are funnier than others. The pandemic creates a need for humor.

David sedaris presents his full human self in this collection of essays. The late show (maybe a top 5 sedaris essay) shows us a peek inside the fantasy worlds he creates in his mind.

His father's eating habits are creative compulsions. He much prefers hot dogs to the elaborate and expensive entrées in soho.

Cons

Book seems to be a diatribe of actual or perceived childhood social injuries that some might find amusing.
