The small piece at the end of the clip does not come off nor will it come off

Then added a drop of glue to hold the endcap on and rubber sleeve against it no metal showing

This clip is a good replacement clip but the clip part is really tight

The only thing that really bugs me is that it does not lay quite as flat as the original fitbit clip but im not sure exactly how to explain it

Maybe its the curve of the metal combined with the firm tension of the clip
