The tip works well for eliciting the babinski. The bottom has a small point you can use to test pinprick or babinski. It also has a little brush inside it for light touch-sensation testing.
This is an amazing hammer for neurological exam, apparatebtly nyu endorses it too rather than the regular circular ones. That’s the one the neurology residents have!
Cons
It's fine to use but the light touch brush broke with minimal use. Logistically, carrying your own reflex hammer is also not ideal. The distal part of the plastic shaft is weak.
