The action on the example i received is smooth and the quality overall is superb particularly and obviously the damascus style vg10 blade
Super high japanese quality my 3 knives had no issues and are amazingly sharp

This is my preference for an edc though recently ive been carrying around a benchmade sequel
I only give this knife a hard time because of its price point

I had originally bought an mc1 with micarta scales but decided to return it because i did not like the pocket clip configuration and the seller had applied some strong smelling lubricant and had messed up the flathead pivot screw

But because of how smooth the underside is and how smooth the rosewood is it actually doesnt do a very good job securing itself on my pocket

Although the screws that hold the scales to the liner has a very nice sakura shape to them one pair of them protrude a bit from the scales

The backside nut for the pivot hex head is also machined and not polished

The knife took a while to arrive but it did come within described time frame

Opening and closing the blade was not very smooth and produced a faint screeching sound as if there was some dust or sand inside
