Knifes are sharp right out of the packaging and easy to hold. Comes with all the knives we need, plus heavy duty scissors and a smaller bonus pair. The knife sharpener is great.

The bigger one is more ergonomic for holding them. I have arthritic hands and they are so roomy to hold them to cut with.

These are less sharp than the 15 yr old set i threw away. That's just about the best purpose for them other than the bonus pair of scissors. They already are not sharp and whenever need to cut something like tomatoes have to use cheaper knife.
