I use this has undercoat or on its own it does chip when use has only polish but last longer than some other polish

Of course having your hands in soapy water all the time does not make this nail primer as effective

It’s like glue in the way it grips the nail and polish and i now only have to paint my nails once a week

Only downside i find with maybelline is the design of the bottle and the brush its difficult to use the last of your bottle only reason why i knocked it down 1 star

However i have found that regardless of the cost the base coats i used previously were not very effective
