Pros & Cons
Pros
The silicone extends a bit farther on the probe end than the * original. Physically, this replacement looks much the same as the original, save the color.
Cons
Disappointed with product. Went back to my old tattered factory probe. Tried contacting the seller but no help. Do not buy. This probe is not any good. Worthless to me.
The plug clicks in, but isn't secure and has about 3/8inch of play. The cable the vendor sent has a very small dimension. The oem meat thermometer probe (part number wb20x5050) for the ge cafe range costs ten times more than this maxred.
Buyer beware, this could be a danger if you don’t use a backup temp device…. Defeats the purpose of this purchase! Plug probe into oven for 1 minute. Remove probe4.
Highlights
Quality
This one has lasted a long time and is way better quality then ges one that was with the oven
Works well and a little longer than the original that came with the oven
The one that came with the oven broke
After more than a year im starting the see the same problem i had with the original ge probe
Price
Bought this as a low cost alternative to the original replacement
I had to replace my original and the cost here was much less than the dealers price
Competitiveness
Bought this as a replacement for a jennair oven probe and it is identical and works the same
Worked with my ge oven and much better price than from the manufacturer
Hopefully it lasts longer than the original but at least it was a third the price of the replacement jennair part
I used a thermapen to compare the ovens probe reading with the actual water temp
