I had a solex vw carb that i ultrasonically cleaned new gaskets new jets did all the tricks backing out idle circuit screw etc

No matter what i did it would not idle without the choke which would cause the engine to suck down fuel at 8mpg and run super rich with lots of sputter at speed

It had a faint smell of gasoline which i liked because it showed they tested it

It had 2 extra jets i didnt use them

It fired up the choke worked perfectly i didnt even have to prime or touch the throttle at all
