It is not a time saver, but it is way easier than watching the clock and making the perfect temp water for boiling eggs. Comes with a egg piercer that makes peeling easy. Easy to clean with a little vinegar.

The egg cooker works well. My grandson even uses it with no problem and he is 10. Super easy to use. Quick and easy.

Measure cup is pretty accurate for results. Fits 7 eggs if they aren’t too big. And it holds 7 instead of the usual 6.

Makes a painfully loud alarm sound that does not go off when it’s done. This is due to the buzzer on the unit that i received not working. The thought of a tiny puppy hearing it is too much.

Even with the same number of eggs and the exact same amount of water, there is no guarantee on how the eggs will turn out. Given the inherent inconsistency of the device it doesn't matter. The measurement cup is way off. They end up mushy at the top.

The material for the heating plate (base where liquid steams the eggs) is poor quality. Started to discolor after first use. Mostly runny * even on the hard boiled egg setting.
