This battery holds a charge pretty well, it's easy to recharge in car or at home. Comes with a 2-prong euro style adapter, and a car charger.
Bp-511 batteries are as good,if not better than the ones that carry the canon name. I have them branded stk, maximal power and vivitar for four different models/brands of cameras.

I just used it once and i think it performs as good as the oem battery pack but the canon brand is built better
The battery life seems fine no statistical comparison to the other batteries i have

They are twopiece units with the top sections being different to accept the particular battery design they are to be used for

I really havent noticed but i expect the lower section is the same on all the units with the top section being wired for the different locations of the battery contacts and presumably the variations in voltage

Some come with usb outlets some with european adapters included and all have various versions of car plugs to use while traveling
