This works great for my hookah coals. Cooked alot with it. Only real complaint is that there is no heat indicator light.

If a larger pot should boil over there is nothing to catch those drips due to it’s design and size

It is not a voltage control that would work as a continuous or constant cooking slow cooker because it stops heating when the temperature of the dish is reached

I bought it for my kettle and placed the control on medium it turned red and when it boiled it stopped

It does do the job but if you need a hot plate for extended use i would spend a little more and get a better one
