Pros & Cons

Pros

The matfer carbon steel pan is great for frying eggs and cakes. The welded handle on the matfer better than the rivets on most others, it's a pain to clean between the rivet heads.

The more i use it, the better it gets! Spayed down these surfaces and left it for another 2 hours to soak in. Came off clean with a copper scrubber. They darken with use and only get better too.

The widely flaring out walls is what makes it 9. Wide. For the price the bang-for-buck is great.

Cons

Every time it heats up on the glass cooktop stove, it warps and wobbles around. After a few months it warped, now the pan wobbles on my ceramic cooktop and it cooks unevenly.

Absolutely disgusted with this product. Never again. This is unacceptable. Also it was permanently warped so just returned it.

Quality

Its a little heavy but its the best fry pan ive ever used and im 60 years old and i cook for myself almost daily

Heavy steel develops a great patina decent ergonomics great sizes

I’ve been through multiple attempts at seasoning with all different methods and the surface is nowhere near to completely “non stick”

After the pan’s third or forth use it’s definitely nonstick even the sides

Price

I also got if for 85 cdngtgtbonus

For the price the bangforbuck is great

I also think it is a bit expensive at close to its ful price of 130140

Shipping

The pan arrived 1 day early and in perfect shape

Too late to return shipping would have killed us with a 9lb pan

However the one i got was sold by bakedeco and shipped by amazon

As i order it in october 2023 i figured i would have received the new version as i am using it on an induction stove top

Packaging/appearance

The surface came with no blemishes or dents and such which is good considering this came in a regular amazon box with minimal o...  Read More

And a box of sos pads if you haven’t got any on hand

The packaging was inadequate but the pan is basically indestructible and was just fine

The pan had a number of small dings all over when it arrived probably due to bad packaging handling
