Pros

If you have a * or long haired dog, this is a must buy! It works daily through the coat, cleans out the knots, and our dog does not seem quite as annoyed as he does with other tools. My groomer swears by this for deshedding the undercoat on terriers.

Cons

Australian shepherd's hair is similar to angora. Not so great on collie length fur. But it is useless on long haired cats.

The hair becomes very dense and the comb does not cut through it. It strips undercoat and removes dead hairs, it doesn't say it cuts hair.

Have tried other dematting rakes but they are rough going through the fur

I say slight in that its enough to cut fur but you could run your tounge across it and never get cut
