At first i didnt care for the pointofview from the three pairs of contestants but i generally dont care for more than 3 or 4 points of view in a book so it might be my own bias

I felt they were a bit too cliché and took attention away from the main characters story

If those stories had impacted the main characters or caused them to change or grow personally it would have been a much tighter story weave
