This is how i did it. Squeezed a little more down another side of the base. Followed with my finger. Worked like a charm.
Great aquarium safe glue. Used to repair a cracked corner of a 10 gallon aquarium. Also repaired a leak in a protein skimmer for a saltwater aquarium.
The silicone dries very clear compared to the preexisting silicone. The silicone is much thicker than typical silicone, so applying it cleanly can be a challenge. Be patient and use it sparingly as a little goes a long way.

I simply let the old run down from the top corners a few inches cleaned the surface well and overlapped it with the new

Not a whole lot for the price

I didnt use this product to seal a tank together so i cant speak to how well it would work for that in terms of strength or durability but i did use it to glue a waterproof aquarium light to the underside of the plastic tank lid

I didnt want to use something that could possibly harm my fish but i needed something waterproof and adhesive
