The noise level is not too bad. I find the sound to be soothing. For those struggling with a noisy biowheel due to a fast spin, change the filteration rate.

Cons

Filter is loud like any other filter. It make the most irritating grinding noise. The water return is also extremely noisy.

I have used some of the other brands in other aquariums but by far the bio wheel is my top choice
