The pins that go into the track of the watch itself are not tight but they do lock and its not noticeable unless you play with it or look and can see the small gap the pins leave on the tracks for the band on the watch

Loved this band— i’ve looked for a good looking leather band for a while i was skeptical since it was so inexpensive however when i put it on my watch it was perfect
