It seems to be absorbent enough to prevent drips on the table but condensation sweat can make the glass stick to the coaster so you pick up one and the other comes with it

A lot of coasters are made from this material and the only way around it is to pick a version that has some raised pattern on the top so it is harder to form a vacuum seal on the bottom of the glass

Over time the white coasters began to turn gray where the most water was absorbed

The coasters were wrapped in bubble wrap but not taped up

When i took them out of the box the coasters fell on to the table and one chipped
