Certainly holds the weight but makes noise when they swing some

Put it up with two lag screws into a ceiling beam or put a 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 across two beams and screw into that if you want it to swing perpendicular to the beam

We actually removed the carabiner and used the bracket as part of a pulley system

If youre a bigger person and you want to hang a hammock swing from it which is what we did i would get a better carabiner
