Pros
The built quality is excellent; it feels solid and operates with a smoothness that belongs at a far high price. The sound quality through the speakers and headphone jack is superb. This fantastic set is paired with elac debut 2.
All in one amplifier is a great value for money. Firmly compatible with marantz and denon amplifiers. Controlled and punchy bass. Settled on coaxial from matching cd player for newer dac on amp.
The only downside is i now need to upgrade the rest of my sytem. It's now connected to my cd player, epson projector, and ipod. Difference between the 6007 and playing discs through our blu-ray is immense.
Cons
The cd6007 from marantz isn't able to give out a gapless playback of flac and wav files from the usb port. This is sometimes apparent in orchestral and instrumental pieces, but always obvious with vocals. It's possible that i was supplied with a fault... Read More
Highlights
Quality
I played my vinyl version of the dark side of the moon and was blown away by the clarity of the music also with cd the quality was amazing
The sound quality is excellent with a decent bass which dose not drown out the mid or treble they sound open and clear
However with the cd 6007 you cant adjust the volume to the headphones on the remote but only by a knob on the player
The 5005 does not have this option
Price
I added a bluetooth receiver to the amp for convenience when i want to play a song from my phone bit rate 320kbps and this sounds great too
Competitiveness
Better than any player i have heard at twice the price
The last one was a 5005 model
To be fair i was replacing an musical fidelity xa2 my mistake

Ive had two marantz pm6007 both with an issue that is im getting static shocks from the metal front plate as any one else experienced this

If you are still deliberating whether to go for the marantz cd6007 after hours of research and due diligence then stop just stop right now and pull the trigger

Technology clearly advanced in the meantime even some 40year old vinyl sounds good with lack of hiss
