Great product to make tofu or cottage cheese. Made a perfect homemade tofu. She really enjoys cooking indian food and paneer is one of her favorite dishes.

The mold is pretty sturdy. Easy to use and quite sturdy.
Simple gadget for a simple chore. It drains tofu wonderfully. Nothing to complain about this simple gadget.
Love this. Very straightforward. Easy to clean and is a fairly sturdy plastic. Easier clean up.

I just handwashed the muslin cloth in cold water that came with the press and air dried it

The price was affordable and cleanup amounts to rinsing everything in cold running water
This is a nice size press at a great price

Since the soybean curd is waterbased theres nothing on the cloth or press to wash off

You could also throw the press not the cloth into the dishwasher if you want to sanitize it but thats not really necessary

The wood can also harbor bacteria since its porous

It doesnt change how poorly my attempts at tofu are but it makes the molding and pressing so much easier

The only thing to keep in mind is that to get the tofu out of the press you have to turn it upside down and let it drop out which could damage the shape

A more expensive mold will lift off and leave the tofu cake on a platform undisturbed

I think it is a good starting item but if you plan to make tofu frequently then buy something else
