This head gives you unlimited control in all directions. This head eliminates that problem plus it is a smooth operating head. This design is incredibly safe.
The manfrotto 410 geared tripod head is the best tripod head i have ever used. This coupled with the 055xpro tripod is a step up. The gear is smooth and the trun around smooth.
The 808rc4 is a heavy duty rig necessary to support heavier loads. The 410 is a geared head, which gives the photographer precision control over the axis controls. All at amazon.

Cons
It's only one year old and it not only caused me countless headaches, embarrassment, and aggravation until it finally fell apart. The tightening grips for the x and y axis have to be cranked down to avoid shake during bracketed shots.

It is a heavy head and the piece that attaches to the bottom of the camera is hard to get off the top of the head
