With moderate fiction, movements are smooth but, once locked down, it holds a medium sized dslr or light head without budging. You loosen the knob just enough to get movement with out the arm flopping around.
Cons
Weight of it caused a fracture the brass fitting where it connects to the superclamp. Arrived with arm completely disassembled. No instructions, others with same complaints similar to me.

This caused the box to get smashed open and the product to get all scratched up
Preferably i would like to receive my products in new condition and make the scratches myself

When the friction is released at the wheel everything simply loosens and you have to be careful of your equipment that is attached if your not holding it it will simply fall

Its less expensive does the job a little bit better and you have the ability to loosen the arm slightly to move the pin heads on it while the arm stays in position so its a little more gritty to use i prefer it to the manfrotto

I have a toddler that is easier to shower then give a bath but the shower head is way too high for him
