Pros & Cons
Pros
Man's search for meaning by viktor frankl is a profound and enduring exploration of the human condition. Viktor e. Frankl has an enormous wealth of wisdom to share, and he shares it most generously. Viktor. Frankl.
This is the most inspiring book i've ever read.
The meaning of life is unique to each individual and their circumstances. The connection between meaning and spiritual beliefs and practices. The role of love and compassion in finding meaning and fulfillment in life.
Time with tangible goals and endpoints seems a lot shorter and more efficiently used. The first part is great and paradoxical.
Cons
Humans deprived of food, water, warmth and rest have no capacity for romantic feelings. There doesn't seem to be any humanity. There was no intimate conversation with a sharing his search for meaning of life.
The author romanticizes his relationship with his wife. This book has pages mismatched. Instead it repeats pages 15-46 then skips straight to page 79.
His book, logotherapy in a nutshell, is a sales pitch for frankl’s pseudo-religious therapy.
