If you simply place a suction cup in the middle of a thin body panel that can lead to the denting that has happened to some owners

I almost sprang for the highdollar gasspring units but in addition to a really ridiculous price they also look really weird when the kayaks are not on the vehicle and the assemblies are too ungainly to just remove them when the kayaks arent needed

The malone assist loaders do require that you have malone jracks see product specifications

When pushing the kayaks from the loader into malones downloader folding jstyle rack the user is supposed to push the kayak from the loader onto the jstyle racks

As the kayak slides into position in the rack cradle it is supposed to make contact with the uprights on the rack causing the kayak to rotate and land in a position about 30 from vertical on its side
