They work with the same concept as the fingernail polish remover sponges. It cleans the makeup off really well. It works well and i also like that it's reusable!

I even sent a video to my sister when i ran the brush in black eye shadow put it on my hand then used this and rubbed the brush on my hand again and there was no black left on brush

It doesnt replace having to clean your brushes but i can use one brush for endless colors for days

Doesnt seem to change the texture of my brushes as some reviews have stated and ive used it with both synthetic and natural hair brushes
