This gadget solves all this and more. I wish i would’ve been the one to invent it. The magnet is strong and accurate.
Run cycles seem shorter now. Drying times seem to be less.

Cons
Magnetic coupling to hose is bulky. Took too long to twist metal duct around to match up the two ends. Threw it out and will buy new flex duct and install that.

Easy to install and very well made
Oh and the magnet is super heavy duty great quality product
The flex hose that mounts to the dryer is very flimsy and is attached permanently to the magnet
It is extremely difficult to tape the joints with aluminum tape
Price
The additional cost over the paper thin metal elbows at the big box stores is well worth it
Recommend it highly and well worth the price
This product is pricey but will save you money and headaches immediately
I spent the extra money for the magnet connection

Honestly these should be packaged with every dryer sold these days
The box has an elliptical duct connection at the top and had been a particular headache for years
With the dryer on a pedestal the connection was higher and offset from the wall
Competitiveness
Flexseal would also be a goodbetter choice but i didnt have any handy

I was looking for a way to recess my dryer a bit further as im finishing out a basement and do not have very much room or access to the backside of the dryer

My plan was to use a recessed dryer box and run a flexible dryer vent connection however i found the magvent product while doing a google search and felt that this would resolve the installation issues i was up against

A lot of the time when there aren’t very many players in a space the quality of a product doesn’t have to be that great in order to sell

This is not one of those cases the magnets the workmanship the gauge of the steel all is topnotch
