Magswitch has a wide selection of available * for many workshop uses. I use them to hold down several different * on my tablesaw and they have never budged once. Use them all over in my workshop. Using them in a * is bore a hole and install 2 screws.



Cons

They are weak giving it sideways pressure. Work-pieces don't lift up, they slide sideways and away from the tool. If the * ands up over the t-slot, you're out of luck. The magnet strength is about 25 percent of what they said it would be.

    If the magnet is attached to a thicker piece of metal yes the amount of ferrous metal it is stuck to matters and you pull directly away it will be strong
