Pros
The cover works as a dish so jewelery wont slide off. The cover doubles as a tray, which is a nice feature.
The balance is very easy to calibrate and use. The lcd readout is easy to read. Great for counting spoke * when wheel building.

I put a small button battery in series with the 2aaa batteries and now it registers but is not designed for it

I would recommend that you take the batteries out of this device when not in use for any length of time

Its range is from 01000 grams so i wouldnt use it at the upper and lower end of the range

Buying a scale can be a real waste of money if it turns out to be inaccurate but at the same time you dont want to pay a lot of money if you dont have to
