It came with stick on magnets which was great because my mac shadows were not strong enough to stick to this case

The magnet to close the lid could be a bit stronger if traveling wrap a rubber band around the top to secure more and pack carefully because a section of the top is seethrough plastic

But if they had made it just a smidge longertaller it could easily fit 12 or even 16

I have depotted a nars blush rectangle and studio gear dual identity powder compact round and bigger obviously and just the two of those alone will not fit this palette just a smidge longer literally like 2mm and it would work
