The ball hinge at the end seems sturdy. This one seems much sturdier. It suctions very well to the windshield, and holds my phone securely.
The suction power is great and so is the magnet. Makes phone hands free for gps and driving. I use two magnets and it takes a little muscle and manipulation of the arm.

Ive had to use two magnets in my phone case one inside the case and one outside for it to decently stay connected to the holder
