The magnet on the adapter is strong enough so that if you move it not too fast of course while its connected to the phone it will stay on and not come off this way you can still use it to talk on the phone and do other stuff

To compare i bought this cheap adapter from ebay that has a very weak magnet that comes off from the phone with the slightest movement

However connecting it sometimes doesnt fit well and you have to line it up by looking at it

Its never come off during the night sitting on my table but if you accidentally move it it may come off

It use to be red until it got to 90 on the phone then the light on this adapter would go green

Magnet hold securely but not so tight as to risk damage to the charging contacts on the sony
