The led is closer to the base than the filament of a regular bulb so i suspect that makes the old reflectors less efficient

Works great bought this from gainder mountain thia led is auper bright this little guy is amazing the amount of light it puts out is great

I got some heat shrink tubing and put two layers around the flashlight then shrunk them on one at a time
