I had to cut just a little bit the edges to get open and closing smothly

The only problem i had was that pad design came to far over my bottom row keys on the keyboard so i had to cut it off

Long story short this case was a little too big for my particular laptop even tho it says it was the same size

Obviously this feature doesnt work as well on unlevel surfaces like your lap

Only complaint is that the straps that affix to the laptop screen are a little loose when the laptop is open so the top sometimes slips off

Computer still shuts off when closed with this case

I like this macbook pro case but the i took off one star because it needs a better or longer elastic to keep the top portion attached to the computer
