Pros
The rollsharp does the job, is very convenient, the size is great for his pack. It is easy to use and does a good job and is reasonable priced. Considering how very simple this device is, it work incredibly well.
It sharpens my mac mighty nicely, especially for the price. This knife sharpener is very easy and safe to use. It will sharpen your knives for left or right handed use.
This sharpener works pretty good. I suspect many folks who are bad-mouthing this are trying to sharpen european/american knives. I have a nice japanese knife for finer chopping and needed a sharpener for this one knife.
Cons
This hone/sharpener is a flimsy piece of lightweight plastic. No knife sharpener exists that can compensate for incompetence and mishandling.
Rebranded friskar with no instruction. Not sure all the sellers sell the same kind. This fud is a bit depressing though.

The stone is quite fine so it will not remove much metal by design

As a result it will not turn a 20degree bevel knife into a 15degree bevel knife unless you plan on spending the day sharpening the one knife

Additionally it will only work well on knives 15 degree only which are only slightly dull

It gives a sharp 15 degree edge with a few passed through the sharpener

You can slice a tomato with very little effort after using this sharpener and it doesnt remove a lot of metal like electric sharpeners do
