The arrow of sphygmomanometer is constantly misplaced when not in use. When inflating, the bladder is practically full before the manometer even begins to move off of 0. It inflates properly but i have to squeeze it to release air.

You have to turn the metal piece by the bulb all the way right to tighten it then after inflation open it slightly to let air out

It loosens with time but it never comes to the point of rendering the cuff useless
