In the ad this cable is displayed with two straight xlr connectors but the one that i ordered has an angled lshaped connector which made it unusable for what we need it

There are numerous power cables in close proximity but the quadstar style shielding of this cable is essentially impervious to hum that would be induced in a standard xlr cable

In a noisy enough situation the small distance that the two wires in the twisted pair are physically separated by causes slightly different amounts of noise to be magnetically induced on the pair resulting in slightly different noise entering in the signals that cannot fully cancel
