They are awesomely pigmented and lay down color beautifully. They aren’t as buttery, but they last so much longer and the colors are vibrant. They blend reasonbly well and perform best on a textured paper.

After examining the contents of the package and swatching each pencil, all i can say is “wow! Immediately changed my appreciation of these pencils. Try sketching with them.

Do not smudge or crumble. They sharpen in a standard sized electric sharpener. I’m reasonably sure that they won’t break just from sharpening.

Even though the lyra seem a bit wimpy, i do like the colors. Individual colors are inexpensive to replace. They work great on complicated, detailed mandelas.

Cons

I also use prismacolor premier and blick studio pencils

I wish a lightfast chart is given instead of a claim of good lightfast

These pencils in comparison to prismacolor are more subtle and i would say muted looking
