I ended up keeping this unit and returning the weighmax because it was significantly better for the following reasons1 it is noticably bigger than the weighmax which is important considering the size of packages you are likely to be weighing when you have an upper limit of 75 lbs
2 convenient large front mounted controls the weighmax has the buttons on the side and they are very inconvenient to find and press
3 large backlit display this was probably the most glaring difference
