Pros
Bought one for my mil as part of a mother’s day basket. Very generous in size and of superb quality. The clay color (why it got 4 instead of 5) however is a light charcoal grayish color. Clay is so rich looking, just perfect-- and perfectly made!
Cons
These are the last 1888 mills products i'll be purchasing. They're more like cheap motel towels. I honestly have half the mind to cancel prime and just forget about it.
These towels are not plush. They are thin and scratchy, with many hanging threads. Not at all plush and soft as with truly nice towels.
One of the towels started disintegrating about 6 months in. I wash it about once every 2 weeks with no chlorine so that's another disappointment. The towels have bald spots in places, and threads that snag and leave trails behind them.
Its pretty thin for a luxury cotton towel. This reminds me of a towel you would expect to see at the local public pool. Spend an extra 5 bucks and get a good department store towel on sale.

Back then there were probably options but those friends chose to buy towels from an american mill and i still use those towels regularly
