There is a sticky side to attach the lighting strip and the motion sensor to your bed cabinet or etc but my bed doesnt have a smooth area to attach it so i didnt try

I simply stretched the lighting strip out under my bed and placed the motion sensor on the floor between my bed and nightstand where the dogs wouldnt set it off

The sensor has a photo cell so it wont work during day or in a well lit area unless you cover it with black tape or something like it

I installed mine in the front door as a security light so when someone comes within 11 feet sensor range the light turns on welcoming or scaring
