It is leak-proof in the sense that you don't put anything that is oozy, melty, liquidy. If it’s slightly overstuffed, i use a rubber and to secure the lid. I desperately wish they made an option with an attached (hinged) lid.

These luchbots are leak proof very easy to clean and durable well made product
I like that it is free of harmful chemicals and is made sturdy
Kids can open and they don’t leak
I do not put anything juicy or liquid in this as it is not leak proof and usually laid on its side in a backpack

So far its been worth every cent
I bought a plastic lunch box for 10 and used it for 2 weeks till if fell apart
Take my advice and avoid the yeti lunchbox its expensive and useless with this product
For the price of these boxes that was an unfortunate miss
