One note though this is a bulb not a lamp so you will need other parts for it to work

As well as the right light fitting you will also need the correct ballast to drive it

It is exceptionally bright very hot and according to the manufacturer lasts approximately 32000 hours although i cannot confirm or deny this claim

Works fine using an old theatre lighting ballast i will try it this year to bring on early spring plants however i am concerned about the running costs its about the same as a 2kw fan heater on for 7hours a day if you run it 24hrs

In the long run these lamps will probably be replaced by leds
