The loving pets gobble stopper works well to stop my insane lab mix from inhaling her kibble. Works perfectly in my golden doodles puppy stainless steel bowl. We have a 40lb german shepherd puppy who gobbles down food fast as lightning.
It's really helped a lot with feeding time. If it gets dislodged, simply press firmly again to adhere. With a little water on the suction, it sticks like a champ.
It's easy to wash but top rack dishwasher safe too! We also clean it two or three times a week to keep it from getting too *, but that is personal preference.

After my husband forgot to remove it from the bowl before putting it in the dishwasher the suction was impaired

It is made of rigid plastic and the rubber stopper is too so far it is working well but i suspect it to not last very long
