The switch works intermittently. A very light touch of the switch causes power interruption. Touch it the wrong way and the pi resets.

Plastic housing/button interface had friction and was sticking. Had to pull all of them out and apologize for the faulty product. Took the seller's advice and tried a completely different power supply.

I suspect the problem is the push button connection inside the switch housing

Regularly unpluging the cable from the fire stick was inconvenient and would eventually wearout the connectors

It does not add any significant amount of resistance and is not the cause of the lowvoltage warnings on your pi

In fact the pi by itself with its own charger sometimes yields a lowvoltage warning

The cause is that the pis power supply voltage is simply too low at 5 volts
