Pros

The author's impeccable choice of words perfectly captures the emotions of the scene and instills those emotions in the reader. The story has it all. It grabs you from the beginning with not just a good story but with beautifully written prose.

Cons

Why this novel was chosen for the nea's list of novels for the great american reads is a mystery.

Until we reach the aftermath chapters, the story slogs along at a snail’s pace. The „aftermath’ is extremely repetetive and i found that really annoying. Please heed my words.

John green's new book, alaska young, is full of pointless pranks. Young is an alcoholic, superficial, chain smoking, narcissist whose main goal in life seems to be to play silly pointless pr prank on her fellow high school students.

The book “looking for alaska'' is about a friend group in a boarding school called culver creek.

And what is the purpose of calling it looking for alaska, it would have made more sense, if it was that alaska got lost in the forest and that she appears at the end of the book.

The casting they did for the movie though, was horrifyingly bad.

None of the characters look how i thought they would which usually doesn't bother me but it did with this movie.
